Gota Patti is hand embroidery done with metallic ribbon. The ribbon is cut into shapes and stitched into petals, borders and motifs.
It was once reserved for royal dress. Today it is a festive staple, especially for pujas and family functions.
Because it is metal, treat it with care: dry clean only, and store it wrapped in soft cloth.
